Both characters are time travelling, royal swordsman, set on stopping an evil god-like entity. They carry sacred swords, enchanted by the gods, that were created to destroy evil, like Aku and Grima. They are both trying to change the their respective times, Lucina going back in time to change the future, and Jack forced forward in time, determined to change the past that he left. They have each taken on their fair share of mercenaries and inhuman monsters. They also both care deeply for their fathers, with Lucina paranoid of what could happen to hers, and Jack having guilty delusions of his. Jack, is from a western series with eastern influences, and Lucina is from an eastern franchise with western influences. As a bonus, they can both "Jump Good".

Most of their feats are near even, with the exception of a few of Lucina's outliers fighting Grima, due to having the Exalted Falchion and blood of the exalt. Lucina is faster than Jack, but as of season 5, Jack has weapons like laser pistols to even the odds. If I had to pick as of now, I would say Jack's tendency to hallucinate and see what's not there, as seen in the battle with Scaramouch, can take him out of the moment, and one moment is all it will take for Lucina to take him out.
